Alisha says: Welcome to the new year! 

Skye is really into art projects right now.

My wonderful friend Victoria got me a gift certificate and took me to get my nails done since I had never had them done before. We both got the dip powder nails.

Skye had dinosaur week at preschool where they did lots of dinosaur activities; dug up dino bones and even came home a dinosaur one day!

Jade has graduated from the backpack on bike ride to the mac rider. She loves it! The only bad thing is that if we go on a longer ride sometimes falls asleep and it makes it a little tricky to hold her and ride.

Mountain Bike Racing

Alisha says: Dave and I started off the year racing at McDowell. We both raced the marathon distance which was 43 miles. My race started off a little rough with the legs not feeling so good for the first 10 miles but then they felt like they came around and I was able to finish strong. I was the top overall female by 23 minutes and was faster than my time last year so I was very happy about that.

Dave had a great race and finished 5th overall and 3rd in his age category.

Skye helped grandma make sugar cookies to take to the neighbors.

Lots of fun Grandma Debbie time. We set up the tent inside for some fun.

Riding mountain bikes and getting to see an amazing sunrise! My favorite way to start the day!!

More bike riding. This time Dave had a few extra passengers.

Skye had her preschool Christmas program. They sang a bunch of cute songs.

Kid things

Skye:
-Anything in the past Skye will say "last day"
-She says "mize" instead of mine
-Skye is getting into art and likes coloring and drawing. She is starting to draw stick people which is really cute.

They both go through phases where they really like a show and will only watch that thing. We are currently in a toy story phase where it is all things toy story.

Preschool Fun and Artwork

Alisha says: Skye goes to preschool 3 days a week at the Red Mountain Methodist Preschool. Her teachers are Ms. Shubert and Ms. Heinecke. She does lots of arts and crafts and has started learning to write her name and other letters of the alphabet. She loves to stay for "stay and play" which is an extra hour and half where they get to eat lunch with their friends and do a few more activities. It is fun to hear her talk about her day and the things she learns. This is a collection of all things preschool from the first day in August up until the end of the year.
