John Wayne Rail Trail

Alisha says: Today we took our hard tail 29 mountain bikes and rode them on the John Wayne rail trail off of I-90. It was a cool but clear day and we had a really enjoyable time riding on the trail past waterfalls and over trestles.

As an athlete at Southern Utah University we traveled to compete at the Husky Invitational Indoor track meet in Seattle a few times so I looked up the accepted entries to the meet and sure enough there was once again going to be a contingent of SUU athletes attending. Dave and I walked down to the meet from our house and I looked around for Coach Houle until I found him and then I casually walked past to see if he would recognize or notice me. Luckily he did and was surprised to see me because he didn't know I was living in Seattle. Coach Houle is so great and it was really fun to catch up and reminisce about my college days.
